Invesco Indexing Consultation on Impact of US Presidential Executive Order on Prohibited Transactions in Certain Chinese Companies – Feedback Due by Friday, December 4, 2020

On November 12, 2020 US President Donald Trump issued an Executive Order (the “Order”) prohibiting transactions in certain Chinese companies by US persons. Effective January 11, 2021 US persons are prohibited from transacting in these companies’ publicly traded securities. US persons that hold these securities have until November 11, 2021 to fully divest from these securities.

In response to this Order, Invesco Indexing is initiating a public consultation that will conclude Friday, December 4, 2020. Invesco Indexing encourages feedback from all interested parties on the impact of the Order. Of particular interest is the practical application of the Order on the use of Invesco indexes, such as the management of index-based portfolios. Invesco Indexing welcomes clients’ views on the preferred process for addressing the prohibition on transacting in the affected companies to support full compliance with the Order.

Invesco Indexing welcomes your feedback through Friday, December 4, 2020. To share your feedback, please contact Invesco Indexing at IndexSupport@invesco.com.
